Don’t get too excited, there is no specific release date or anything concrete. In fact, it sounds like it is still in the early stages. They are still on tour – a very successful tour we might add – and they have no plans on stopping it for this album. The good news is everything seems to be going well as Buckingham said in an interview with the Wall Street Journal.
“We never envisioned finishing the album in the short term. We set it aside. Stevie will come in and participate. I have material I had been working on. There’s no danger that it will slip between the tracks. It’s too profound to.
At least we know the album is on their minds and being made–even if slowly.
