You’re in the Band was created and arranged by Cynthia Sayer, a multi-award-winning instrumentalist/vocalist/bandleader who is acclaimed by musicians, critics, and fans alike as one of the top four-string banjoists in the world today.

This book was created, as Sayer states in the introduction, thanks to her students, who asked her to create a program that could give them the experience and fun of playing with other instruments in a band format, without the pressure of a live-gig situation.
