The latest addition to Casio’s Trackformer DJ products is its XW-PD1 Groove Center, which lets musicians create, mix, and play tracks through its XW series sound engine. Groove Center features preset patterns produced by professional beat makers plus drum sounds for a variety of styles—hip-hop, trap, and house. There are 16 pads and four knobs for fast real-time music production. Sixteen buttons on the outer ring allow users to check current rhythm patterns at a glance. Create powerful rhythms and phrases, plus DSP effects like roll, filter, bit crusher, break, and pitch shifter.
