Community Video: The Honest Heart Collective – North American Dream

The Honest Heart Collective is a Rock/Alternative band from Thunder Bay, Ontario. Anchored by four lifelong friends, the group was born from brothers Ryan and Nic MacDonald, a moment at a Bruce Springsteen concert, and a rotating cast of musicians made permanent. Buoyed by the backdrop of their Northern Ontario roots, the band’s debut LP tells a story of longing, deceit, and new beginnings. Armed with the self-built Lionheart Studios, a blue-collar mentality, and years of touring, The Honest Heart Collective have wrapped up a new collection of songs with producer Derek Hoffman. The band’s old soul take of heart-on-sleeves storytelling through music is evident in their songwriting. Grief Rights was released in May 2018 and it’s sound has been described as “classic American heartland sensibilities [colliding] head-on with ’90s emo-rock touches”.
