The Brilliant Bassoon Book of Christmas Trios for Three Bassoons

23 Traditional Christmas Carols arranged especially for three bassoons of Grades 3 – 5 standard. All in easy keys.

The Brilliant Bassoon Book of Christmas Trios for Three Bassoons by Jemima Oosthuizen and Amanda Oosthuizen comprises of 23 familiar traditional Christmas carols arranged especially for three bassoon players of Grades 3-5 standard. Ideal for diving into the Christmas spirit and great for playing with family and friends, school or church groups.

Many of these pieces are not too difficult and could be played by a someone who has not yet reached Grade 3 but a few hold tricks up their sleeves and present a challenge. Most are in easy keys. The melody crosses between parts, which makes it a little trickier to play but is great practice for listening to each other — and fun. Most of the pieces are one or two pages in length and the book shows all three parts together, not individual parts.

Includes: Jingle Bells, Good King Wenceslas, O Come All Ye Faithful, Coventry Carol, Silent Night, In the Bleak Midwinter, We Three Kings, God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, Away in a Manger, While Shepherds Watched, Hark the Herald Angels Sing, The First Nowell, Once in Royal David’s City, We Wish You a Merry Christmas, Deck the Halls, Ding Dong Merrily, Joy to the World, I Saw Three Ships, Unto Us a Boy is Born, The Holly and the Ivy, See, Amid the Winter’s Snow, Sussex Carol, Carol of the Drum, Pat-a-Pan.
