Raquel de Souza is a singer/songwriter who grew up with a love for various genres. Raquel’s music can be described as a blend of country, rock and pop. After being inspired by placing 2ndat a singer/songwriter competition, she recorded an EP in the summer of 2017. Her EP includes her single “Run Towards the Highway”, a song that has been featured on “Hot New Music Video” as well as receiving radio airplay.
The song recently ranked #34 out of 50 on DTR Global Top 50 Country Airplay Chart as of April 14, 2018. Raquel currently has a band that includes Matthew Bauer (Drums), Luis Cruz (Guitar), Aaron Bishop (Bass) and Catherine Lines (Violin). The band recently filmed a new music video, one of Raquel’s new song from her EP she is releasing soon as a single: “King of the Jungle”. The band also just finished recording a new demo this April which they will be playing at their upcoming performances in venues such as the legendary Bitter End, Rockwood Music Hall and many more.
