Kid Nebraska is a country/blues group hailing from Omaha, NE. “Music is really the only thing I’ve been passionate about for the last twenty years. Well, that and Jiu Jitsu,” says Josh Kidney, lead singer of Kid Nebraska. In addition to being lead singer, principal songwriter, and guitarist for Kid Nebraska, Josh holds a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and makes plenty of time for training with other fighters. “The mornings are for Jiu Jitsu. Nights and weekends are for music.” And not just some weekends, every weekend.
With his musical projects combined, Josh plays well over a hundred shows a year and, in conjunction with drummer Travis Muzney, bassist Jon Packard, and lead guitarist Todd Laird, Kid Nebraska is currently in the process of recording their first full-length album. “I’m excited about this project. It’s been a long time coming,” Josh says. “The music video for our first single ‘Go’ made some waves on Facebook and I think the fans we’ve picked up through that will really enjoy what we’re working on.” The new album should be available in the early part of 2019, and until then, you can listen to “Go” on any streaming platform and keep up with the band on their Facebook page.
