The World’s Largest Collection of Autographed Drumsticks
In 1980, when Peter Lavinger caught a drumstick at a Good Rats concert he was inspired to collect more. Today he holds the Guinness World Record for The World’s Largest Collection of Autographed Drumsticks. The collection embodies sticks from drummers from a wide variety of bands and artists, including Pink Floyd, Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, Tito Puente, John Coltrane, and Miles Davis—more than 1,400. Every one of them has been hand played and is hand-signed. Lavinger is currently raising money to preserve, protect, and archive the collection, plus provide global access for educational purposes.
