Community Video: Del Pelson – Heather Lou

Del Pelson is a five-piece Alternative Pop group based out of South Florida, combining catchy indie-pop melodies with the power of alternative rock.

Formed in early 2015, singer/songwriter Cal Nelson and drummer Garrett Kealer met while performing together in a jazz quintet at Florida Atlantic University. Bassist Nathaniel Spiner was then introduced through Garrett, spawning the initial trio of the band. After a year of writing, tracking, and gigging, the trio sought to expand and added Douglas De Jong on guitar and Patrick Montanari on keyboard.

Del Pelson has opened for touring bands: Young the Giant, Bear Hands, Jr. Jr., The Strumbellas, Joywave, and Community Center, as well as for local bands such as (but not limited to): Sun Ghosts, Suede Dudes, Mylo Ranger, Fireside Prophets, Lavola, Jangle Leg, Motel Talk, Alex DiLeo, Optional, and Public Sounds Collective in venues including Revolution Live, DADA, and Funky Buddha Lounge and Brewery.

DP has finalized their first EP, available on Spotify, iTunes, Bandcamp, and more, as of November 19, 2016. The release includes three studio tracks as well as six tracks recorded live at Critical Sound Studio in Miami, FL.
