Vancouver-based singer-songwriter Andrea Bilawich’s two newest singles, “Love in a Box” and “Now or Never,” are capturing hearts with their fusion of pulsing pop rhythm and raw, soulful stories. “Love in a Box” has spent several weeks at #1 on the Indie Music Channel’s “Radio Cafe Top 10 Countdown,” with host Christopher Ewing noting Andrea’s distinctive voice. Meanwhile, “Now or Never” has been featured in the Canadian Musician Magazine Showcase, and it received praise from top music executives after Andrea’s performance at the Durango Songwriter’s Expo. To create both songs, Andrea worked with Jeff Dawson, the producer behind hits such as Daniel Powter’s “Bad Day,” which spent five weeks at the top of the Billboard Top 100.
Andrea Bilawich has been creating music all her life, crafting each song with her Fender guitar and blue notebook in hand. In 2013, she heard about the passing of Nelson Mandela on the news. Wanting to pay tribute to his extraordinary legacy, she wrote and recorded “We Will Remember,” a song which was featured on the South African Broadcasting Corporation’s nightly nationwide newscast. In 2015, Andrea released an original Christmas carol, “Santa Claus Moved Next Door,” to raise funds for the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, and in 2018 she released her debut EP, “Sidewalk Chalk.”
