Jack Bruce, singer and bassist for the Rock and Roll Hall of fame band Cream, passed away at the age of 71, confirmed by his family on his facebook page.
“He died today at his home in Suffolk surrounded by his family.” Bruce’s publicist stated.
The Bruce family said:
“It is with great sadness that we, Jack’s family, announce the passing of our beloved Jack: husband, father, granddad, and all around legend. The world of music will be a poorer place without him, but he lives on in his music and forever in our hearts.”
Bruce was the voice behind some of the most popular Cream songs like “White Room” and “Sunshine of Your Love.” While the band didn’t last forever, Bruce did go solo releasing a dozen solo LPs in 45 years.
It goes without saying that this is a deep loss for the world and the music community.
