Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, Shawn Forest Fenner was brought up on fiddle and steel country as an 80’s child, and he’s made all the bad decisions needed to draw lyrics from. From 2004 to 2007, he pounded the Nashville pavement with an acoustic guitar and a baritone voice (most often compared to Josh Turner and Johnny Cash) before taking a much needed family hiatus. In 2015 (with the help of local Richmond radio station K95) he jumped back into the music ring with the self penned “Man Cave”.
From there, he has performed at shows including Hank Williams Jr., ZZ Top, Willie Nelson, and Kane Brown as headliners. Shawn performed original material on the Grand Ole Opry’s radio home (650 AM WSM), and had 3 albums given 5 star reviews in the 50 year old publication “Country Music People Magazine” (two time CMA Wesley Rose International Achievement Award winner). In addition to video, he is currently playing with four other talented musicians (Bubba Farmer-Drums, Yves Denton-Telecaster, Matt Via-Bass, and Daniel Stein-Steel/Keys) to play a mostly original set list.
