AKG makes some great audio equipment. They sent us their AKG LYRA microphone to review.
The AKG LYRA Ultra-HD Multimode USB microphone has a retro design and comes fully equipped with high resolution 24-bit/192kHz converters, a four-capsule mic array that provides four user-friendly capture modes, and a plug-and-play setup with support for Mac® and PC, plus iOS® and Android™ tablets and phones.
It offers four polar patterns: cardioid, omni-directional, tight stereo, and wide stereo. The front of the microphone has a volume dial and mute button for your headphones, as well as indicators for which patterns you are using. The back of the mic has a pattern selector for the four optional patterns and a microphone gain. The bottom of the microphone houses the USB-C port as well as a headphone connector. With the ability to sit on a desk with the desktop stand or be placed directly on a mic stand, the AKG LYRA a great addition to any studio.
