Inkblot Astronaut is an indie/alternative rock group hailing from Portland, OR. The groups’ members, Zak Armstrong and Mike Fowler, meet in high school, but it wasn’t until Mike came home from college the two started playing music together. First with Mike on guitar and Zak on drums, they experimented with different musicians and landed on Zak tackling vocals and switching to guitar/bass. After the duo recorded the Inkblot Astronaut debut e.p., they recruited Mike’s friend from college, Ryan Hertia, to play guitar/bass. The group then added drummer Eric Gendron after an extensive search to find the right fit.
