Can you guess how much a guitar lesson, lasagna dinner, and a ride in the sidecar of Springsteen’s motorcycle costs? $300,000 is all.
Bruce Springsteen auctioned off two packages Wednesday night for Stand Up For Heroes. It was a mixture of comedy and music to celebrate New York Comedy Festival, and support Bob Woodruff Foundation, which aids service members and their families when they return home.
Springsteen played a five-song acoustic set that included “Born in the U.S.A” at the Theater at Madison Square Garden. There were other big named comics like John Oliver, John Stewart, Louis C.K., and Jim Gaffigan. The event raised over $1 million, and Springsteen’s packages made up more than half of the contributions.
