In Pasadena, CA, Los Angeles College of Music (LACM) will be hosting their first “Weekend Xperience 2015.” It’s a workshop aimed at music professionals and enthusiasts to develop skills in a variety of subjects. There are four programs you can attend: Songwriting, Music Production, Composing for Film & Television, and Artist Development.
The workshops are led by faculty members from LACM and professionals from major record labels, development agencies, and recording studios. Many of the instructors have produced, performed, and/or, written for huge acts like Godsmack, Ke$sha, Smashing Pumpkins, Melissa Etheridge, and so on. Each event has an “open couseling” session after the scheduled event to allow more time for attendees to discuss their current projects and receive professional, knowledgeable, advice.
LACM’s Weekend Xperience schedule is as follows:
Weekend 1: June 12-14 – Songwriting or Music Production
Weekend 2: August 14-16 – Composing for Film & TV
Weekend 3: November 6-8 – Artist Development
