YEAH! (Youth Empowerment through Arts and Humanities), the non-profit that hosts the renowned Southern Girls Rock Camp and Tennessee Teens Rock Camps, announces Ladies Rock Camp for female and gender non-conforming adults over the age of 18. This program, entering its sixth session, is designed to empower adults through music education and community building.
Registration is $150 for the four-day program occurring October 18-20, 2019. All proceeds are tax-deductible and go directly to YEAH!’s Scholarship Program that provides music education for diverse groups of youth in Nashville. Participants can choose from guitar, bass, drums, or vocals and will form a band with other adults, write a song, and perform at a showcase.
YEAH!’s youth-focused Southern Girls Rock Camp has won “Best Summer Camp” in Nashville Scene multiple years and is excited to expand its mission of empowerment to a larger age demographic. The program has grown by over 60% since its inception in Fall 2016 and YEAH! Is looking to grow it even larger in order to further support its Scholarship Program.
The program will take place at Campaign Monitor at 9 Lea Ave, Nashville, TN 37210. The final Ladies Rock Camp Showcase will be open to the public, all-ages, and held at Drkmttr Collective, 1111 Dickerson Pike, Nashville, TN 37207 on October 20th at 4pm.
