Many times I have seen listings for not only “free pianos” but for Hammond B-3, 4, for prices ranging from
free to 50.00. A band member and I checked out one such “bargain” and it was my asking of questions about this instrument, that caused the seller to change his mind. In the ad, it stated that the “f” key was stuck,well, the pedal board was also “stuck” and the instrument would have needed quite a bit of electrical work!

It makes sense that we should buy a piano in person. Like you said, I don’t want t piano with a cloudy finish or scratches in it. I’d rather go and inspect potential instruments in person so that I can choose the best one.
