The Story of Your Song

Tip number 8 in the Top 10 Tips to Better Performing is all about telling the story of your song. Some people are not the best storytellers but they can still intrigue you by what they’re saying. For example, do you want the audience to feel sadness? Then build the story of your song to instill that emotion onto your audience. The audience will lose themselves into the song that much more deeply. They will forgive a few minor errors in the singer’s performance if the song is speaking to them.
