Yellow Submarine Premiered in New York

In 1968 (46 years ago) The Beatles’ Yellow Submarine premiered in New York. The film was directed by George Dunning and produced by United Artists and King Features Syndicate.  The film was also received well by critics and fans alike and Time reported that it “turned into a smash hit, delighting adolescents and esthetes alike.”

The Beatles didn’t voice the characters in the movie, but that doesn’t mean the clever British wit isn’t there. It’s a fairly trippy movie, but that is part of the charm afterall.
