Joe Con is a multi-genre, multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, producer and bandleader originally from Nonesuch, a tiny country town in central Kentucky. He cut his teeth as an MC in the SF Bay Area underground hip-hop scene, performing hundreds of shows and recording and releasing multiple albums there between 2000-’07. At the same time he was honing his skills as a singer and a guitarist. His songs and travels took him to the coffee shop stages of Burlington, VT and Maui, HI before landing him finally in LA, where he has worked and lived for the past six years. Among several other projects, he recently released a critically acclaimed EP “I Choose You,” produced by Jimmy Harry. This August he returned to Kentucky to record and produce a new folk album, “Living Machine,” which will be released in early 2015. He also recently recorded 16 songs for a new hip-hop project with engineer Kenny “KNS” Lloyd at his studio in New Jersey.
