Chuck has enjoyed the dual-career as a design professional / music professional for over 30 years. After receiving a degree in fine art he has worked everyday and night (no kids so he can!) as an artist/designer, art director, creative director, part-time musician, full-time musician, producer-engineer, songwriter, music editorialist, product reviewer, live event producer-promoter, teacher. He writes songs, sings, plays guitar, bass and owns his own recording studio, With 10 albums of his own, he also appears on many others as a performer or producer. Chuck has also been a winner/nominee of dozens of awards in the art world, music world as well as the community service world including wins in the San Diego Music Awards and official recognition from the California State Senate for helping to encourage better tourism for San Diego through music.

Jon Dufort struck out with the recorder back in third grade, and gave up too easily on his electric bass in his freshman year. But, he does know all the words to “Louie Louie.” After graduating from SUNY Potsdam with a degree in fine art, Jon tried his hand at many jobs including school portrait photographer, screen printer, barista, screw sorter and salesman. He is our jack-of-all-trades when it comes to making the magazine go.

Jason Emerson is a lover of music and words. As a writer and editor with 20 years’ experience, he has done it all from writing songs, to poems and short stories, to various types of nonfiction. He has worked as a journalist in print and online for the past two decades, while also indulging his history dorkiness by writing books about Abraham Lincoln and his family (how he got into that is a long story…). When not slinging words, Jason slings a Fender Stratocaster guitar. (He taught his daughter to play guitar at a young age, but she got corrupted by her school band teacher and switched to the clarinet.)
