Bell Tones

The Model 1602B-P trombone from Kanstul is based on an instrument played by jazz legend Tommy Dorsey, but its playing characteristics and smooth response are fit for players of all levels and in all styles. It features a .500-inch bore lightweight hand slide, 7.5-inch one-piece lightweight brass bell, and three interchangeable leadpipes—a mix of classic heritage and modern design.
MSRP: $2,850
Brilliant & Rich
Getzen has designed the 3050 trumpet for the serious amateur musician. It features a standard #125 mouthpipe and a #137 one-piece, hand-hammered yellow brass bell to produce a full, brilliant tone with excellent intonation from low to high. The standard .459-inch bore and square tuning slide provide moderate resistance, allowing a player to “lean” against the horn. If a slightly darker tone or freer feel is desired, the addition of the optional gold brass bell and/or reverse leadpipe will achieve the feel and sound the player needs.

It is a variation of Model 2011TA, with a relatively small bore of .699 inches to give a true turbo effect. An ideal tuba for jazz, as well as for bass trombone players to double on. MSRP: $5,670
