The Grateful Dead Announces 50th Anniversary Documentary

The Grateful Dead announces 50th anniversary documentary that’s going to be directed by Amir Bar-Lev, who’s known for handling The Tillman Story and My Kid Could Paint That. 

Martin Scorsese will be an executive producer and many people may not know the role he has played in music related documentaries. He worked on The Last Waltz, George Harrison: Living In The Material World, and other projects as well.

“Millions of stories have been told about the Grateful Dead over the years. with our 50th Anniversary coming up, we thought it might just bet time to tell one ourselves and Amir is the perfect guy to help us do it,” The band said. “Needless to say, we are humbled to be collaborating with Martin Scorsese.”
