Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees Announced

Yesterday the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced its Inductees for 2015. There are bands from multiple eras and genres, but all of them you should recognize immediately for their importance in the music industry.

Performer Category:

  • The Paul Butterfield Blues Band
  • Green Day
  • Joan Jett & the Blackhearts
  • Lou Reed
  • Stevie Ray Vaughan & Double Trouble
  • Bill Withers

Award for Musical Excellence:

  • Ringo Starr

Early Influence Award:

  • The “5” Royales

“As we mark 30 years of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductions, we’re proud to honor these artists,” said Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation President Joel Peresman. “These Inductees epitomize rock and roll’s impact over the past 50 years and continuing through today.”

The 30th Annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, presented by Klipsch Audio, will take place on Saturday, April 18, 2015, at Cleveland’s Public Hall. Tickets go on sale Thursday, December 18, 2014, at 10 a.m. EST.
