Joe Cocker has passed away today at the age of 70

Joe Cocker has passed away today at the age of 70. He was best known covering The Beatles’ “With A Little Help from My Friends” and it reached number one in 1968. You can watch the video below of him singing the famous song at Woodstock in 1969. He even won a Grammy and an Academy award in 1983 for his duet with Jennifer Warnes singing “Up Where We Belong” from An Officer and A Gentleman.

His agent Barrie Marshall said, “It will be impossible to fill the space he leaves in our hearts.”

He goes on to say, “He was without the doubt the greatest rock/soul voice ever to come out of Britain and remained the same man throughout his life.”
