Jazz Saxophone Duets
As a young player, Greg Fishman was inspired by famous saxophone duets and he often transcribed the arrangements and played along to the records. Now, the teacher and performer, has created a book of duets that gives students the opportunity to experience the excitement of playing professional sax duets.
Written in an interactive style where both saxophones are actively involved rhythmically, melodically, and harmonically throughout the duets, the book offers the flexibility of playing with two altos, two tenors, or one alto and one tenor. The three play-along CDs with four different versions of each duet are included with the book feature.
Other books with CDs from Fishman include Jazz Saxophone Etudes for Alto and Tenor, Volumes One and Two, designed to help teachers and students of jazz improv.
