Under the artistic direction of saxophonist/composer/educator Don Braden, the camp hosts resident artists and guest clinicians who are at the top of their game. Our approach is inclusive and non-competitive. Students are admitted on a first-come basis, with no prior audition required. They are heard by the faculty when they arrive and placed in skill-matched combos. While the minimum age for admission is 13, we encourage adult students to attend as well. Our skill-based approach to combo assignment makes placement comfortable for students no matter their age. Housing, however, is assigned by age and gender. Every effort is made to accommodate young people whose financial resources may be limited. |
